On 26^th November 2021, the Myanmar Investment Commission (“MIC”) announced an invitation welcoming the investors (both foreign and local) to invest in the following business/investment activities in order to fulfill the needs of national development and state-building:

• Fertilizer manufacturing;
• Cement manufacturing;
• Iron and steel manufacturing;
• Agriculture and livestock farming and its related industries;
• Value-added foodstuffs manufacturing;
• Electric vehicle manufacturing;
• Pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing; and
• Public transportation services.

The MIC will give priority to investors investing in these sectors and they will be offered necessary assistance from the MIC, the concerned ministries, and the local governments of respective states and regions.
